Becoming a Kerala Lottery Agent:
The Kerala lottery department makes the guidelines as easy as possible to become an authorized lottery agent. Simply, any Keralite, who is above 18 years can become an agent of Kerala State Lotteries. At this time, new agencies are issued only District Lottery Offices.
To become an agent, the applicant needs to submit the required form along with a fee of Rs. 335/- (Three Hundred and Thirty-Five only) and two passport-size photographs at his District Lottery Office. Once the registration process is complete, you will be provided with an agency code and registration details. This initial registration is valid for one year from the date of registration.

Renewing Kerala lottery agency registration:
After the completion of the first year of registration, the agents can pay a renewal fee of Rs. 85/- to get their agency license renewed for another year. Casual agencies are issued at the District Lottery Offices on remitting a fee of Rs. 50/- for a particular lottery.
Agent Commission & Ticket Sales Profit:
Kerala lottery agents receive lottery tickets at a discounted price and then selling them at the MRP makes them a profit that helps to earn their income. This is the primary revenue stream of Kerala Lottery agencies. Apart from this, each prize won by a lottery ticket sold by a particular agency is entitled to a commission of 10-12%.
For example, if an agency sold the winning lottery ticket of this year's Thiruvonam Bumper 2023, it will receive a 10% commission of Rs. 2.5 Crores. We have a detailed list of all lotteries and the agency commission of each lottery prize below.
How to claim agency commission?
As mentioned above, all the agents who sell winning lottery tickets are entitled to receive a commission of 10-12%. If you have sold one of the lottery tickets that won a prize, you can collect the commission by submitting the "Agency Prize" form, which is available on the official website as well as our "Download Forms" page.
