Kerala's summer season is between February and June, every year. The Kerala State Lotteries Department conducts a Summer Bumper Lottery draw at this time. Usually, the ticket sales for Summer Bumper happens in the month of February and March. The lucky draw takes place in the middle of the March month. The bumper prize amount is higher than weekly lottery prizes and also multiple higher amounts are given away to the winners.
Each monsoon bumper lottery is denoted by a spacial two letter alphabetical code - "BR". The same code is used for all the bumper lotteries.
54 Lakh Summer Bumper Lottery Tickets are printed in 6 series for sales this year. The price of each Summer bumper lottery ticket is ₹250, which includes of 28% GST. The series that is currently used for the Summer bumper lottery is listed below.
Summer bumper lottery is sold for a total collection of ₹135 Crores. Out of the total amount, ₹34.85 Crores is given away as prize money to the 1,53,433 total winners.

Summer Bumper Lottery draw is held live at 3:00 p.m on the draw day. It takes around 50-60 minutes to select all the prize winners. Once the draw is complete, the Kerala State Lotteries Department officially releases the results as a PDF file in about 30-45 minutes. The same results are also published in the next day's newspapers.
